As we sit around the dinner table with our families, attend church, watch pre-season football on TV, participate in or daily activities, etc. the children of Kenya are always on our minds. Will they have a meal today? What will they learn in school? How many young girls will not be rescued and have to face the brutal knife of circumcision? How many will die before we are able to return?
The children now have clean water, to avoid dysentery and other diseases. They have a new classroom and desks, to allow more children the opportunity to learn. They have uniforms to attend school; signifying they belong. After giving them all of this, we gave them a piece of our hearts and yet it still does not feel like enough. With everything we gave them, they gave us something; love, joy,
Project Kenya was a blessing for all.
