“We want a future”, these were her words as she told
us how girls were severely treated. After being sold at the age of 9 to an older man, circumcised, brutally beaten, and left
helpless and hopeless; she craves change!
Now 15 years old, she is the voice of a generation and of the young women in her tribe.“We need a school! It will change the course of our future.
With wisdom beyond understanding and peace in her heart she knows that an education will open doors for herself and all the children around her. An education will provide opportunities never dreamed of. A school will provide
clothing through uniforms, clean water, and most importantly protection from the brutalities, which she herself has faced. “I would not want any child to go through what I went through”.
